Green spaces are essential for healthy urban living, providing places to relax, play, and connect with nature. To keep our local parks clean, safe, and vibrant, EVEC hosts the Zografou Park Clean-up Day on the last Saturday of every month.
What happens on Clean-Up Day?
- Waste Collection & Sorting: We clean up litter and separate recyclable materials (plastics, glass, paper).
- Park Maintenance: Basic gardening, tree care, and revitalizing public benches/recreation areas.
- Eco-Awareness: Educating local residents on proper waste management and urban ecology.
We supply all the necessary materials — trash bags, gloves, and tools — as well as refreshments for all participants. It’s a fun, active, and highly impactful way to spend a weekend morning with fellow volunteers who care about the environment.
