For organisations
Is your NGO or community institution looking for volunteers for an action or project? Send us your call for volunteers. We check your organisation and the call with you before anything is published.
If your organisation and the call pass our checks, and you agree to what we will publish, we create your organisation’s profile page on volunteer.org.gr and may publish your call on Volunteering opportunities. Your action must be free for volunteers: no fee to apply or to take part.
We list volunteer actions from non-profit organisations and community institutions, online or in Greece. We are looking for the first organisations in Zografou and Athens to work with. Onsite volunteer actions in Greece are in preparation, and no calls have been published yet.
How it works
How your call goes live
There is no account to create and nothing to log in to. You send us the details, and we do the publishing.
- You send the form. Tell us about your organisation and your call with the form on this page, or write to erasmus@evec.org.gr.
- We check your organisation and the call. We go through the points listed below with you, and we reply by email.
- We create your profile page. Once your organisation is checked, and if you agree to what it will say, we create its profile page on volunteer.org.gr.
- We publish your call. We decide which calls to list. A checked call that we list appears on Volunteering opportunities.
- We take it down. We remove each call after its apply-by date.
Organising another action later? Send us each new call the same way. We check every call before it goes live.
Our checks
What we check before anything goes live
Only non-profit organisations and community institutions can ask us to find volunteers for their actions. We decide which actions to list.
- Legal registration of your organisation
- A named contact person
- Safeguarding for any role involving minors or vulnerable people
- An apply-by date on every call
- Free for volunteers: no fee to apply or to take part
Before we create your profile page or list your actions, your organisation agrees to the partner points in section 5 of our Terms of Use. Your organisation is responsible for the actions it runs, and for the information it gives us for its profile page and calls. This means planning actions safely, giving volunteers clear information, training and supervision, and telling us if anything changes. It also means following the law that applies to your organisation, including Greek law on volunteering when volunteers work with you in Greece.
For your organisation
What your organisation gets
A profile page on volunteer.org.gr
With your agreement, we create a profile page for your organisation: its name, a short description and its calls. A contact person’s name appears only if that person agrees. You do not need an account. See section 2.4 of our Privacy Policy.
Your calls on Volunteering opportunities
We may publish each checked call on Volunteering opportunities, with your organisation’s name, what volunteers will do, the place (or “online”), the dates and the apply-by date. Volunteers know exactly who they will be helping.
Get started
Tell us about your call
Use this form to tell us about your organisation and a call for volunteers, or to ask us a question first.
To help us check your organisation and the call, please include in your message:
- the full name of your organisation, and its website or registration details
- a few lines about your organisation for its profile page
- the name of a contact person, and whether they agree to have their name shown on your profile page
- what volunteers would do, where and when
- whether the role involves minors or vulnerable people
- the last date on which volunteers can apply
- a line confirming that taking part is free for volunteers, and that your organisation agrees to the partner points in section 5 of our Terms of Use
We will reply by email. Nothing is published until we have checked your organisation and the call with you.

FAQ
Questions from organisations
Can we create our profile ourselves?
Not yet. You tell us about your organisation and your call, and we check them with you. Then, with your agreement, our team creates your organisation’s profile page and may publish your checked calls for you. You do not need an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
Does it cost volunteers anything?
No. Taking part in an action we list must be free for volunteers, with no fee to apply or to take part. We check this before we publish a call, and partner organisations agree to it under section 5 of our Terms of Use.
If anyone asks a volunteer to pay, the volunteer can tell us at erasmus@evec.org.gr.
Who can list a call?
Non-profit organisations and community institutions, for volunteer actions online or in Greece. We decide which actions to list, and your organisation first agrees to the partner points in section 5 of our Terms of Use.
We are looking for the first organisations in Zografou and Athens to work with.
How long do calls and profile pages stay online?
A call stays online until its apply-by date. Every call we publish has one, and we remove the call after that date. Need volunteers again? Send us a new call. Your organisation’s profile page stays online while we work with you. Then we remove it.
We may remove a listing sooner if it breaks our Terms of Use, puts volunteers at risk or goes against our non-profit mission. If we do, we will tell you why.
Can volunteers under 18 take part in our action?
Volunteers can be 15 or older. If your action involves volunteers under 18, your organisation must have a plan to keep them safe. Tell us in your message whether the role involves minors, because we check safeguarding for it before the call goes live.
For anyone under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to confirm their permission to us directly, by a signed form or by an email from their own address, before the young person’s first volunteer activity.
Your organisation keeps the young person’s parents or guardians informed and follows the rules in section 4 of our Terms of Use. For example, adults contact volunteers under 18 only through EVEC channels or with the knowledge of their parent or guardian, and never by private one-to-one messages on personal social media. We also ask partner organisations not to give volunteers under 18 dangerous tasks or late-night activities.
What happens to volunteers’ details?
If a volunteer applies for your action, we pass to your organisation only the details it needs to organise the action, and we tell the volunteer which organisation it is. Your organisation may use those details only to organise that action.
See section 4 of our Privacy Policy and section 5 of our Terms of Use.
How long does checking take?
We check every organisation and every call with you, by email, before anything is published. How long it takes depends on the details we need to confirm together. You can help by including everything from the list under Tell us about your call. If your apply-by date is close, say so in your message.
